4EVER - Humo
Most of Ever's work in the 1970's and 1980's were published in the Belgian weekly Humo.  It was in fact, Humo's chief editor Guy Mortier who gave Ever his first shot at publishing, as he did with Joost Swarte, Kamagurka, and more recently Gummbah and Pieter de Poortere.

On this site, we only give a selection of Ever's work for Humo, including :

  • Some illustrations for a series of articles on Cocaine (late 1980s)
  • The covers for the supplements Humo published for the Torhout/Werchter rock festival
  • The cover for the supplement Humo published for the Filmgebeuren Gent film festival (1989)
  • The cover for Overwerk, the jobs listing that Humo started publishing in 1998
  • Artwork for a pack of gum that Humo included as a gimmick with one of its 1998 issues (1998)
  • Ever's illustrations for the supplement to Humo about the Gouden Uil literary award (1999)

In the 1990's, Ever also designed an advertising campaign for Humo.

A collection of Ever's covers for Humo was published as "100 Humo Covers".  At one time, it even was presented in Diamond Comics' catalogue "Previews", but it's unclear whether it's still available.  If you want to know more about Humo, you could check out its website (in Dutch only).
